Default Milwaukee 8 speed limited?

Apparently the 2017 Milwaukee 8 bikes have a speed limiter, limiting the maximum speed at 108 mph.

I got this from a Harley mechanic.

Can anyone confirm this?

I believe that's because the stock tires aren't speed rated.

It is a little slower than that but YES there is a Max speed limiter and there is a Max RPM limiter as well. If you want it gone or changed you will need to use a ECM tuning device to solve it. They may not all handle it so check before you buy.

Not sure this is right. I was doing 115mph going home from work about a month a ago. I backed off at 115mph....

All M8 bikes are governed to 107, in each gear it is capable of hitting that speed. Ask the tuners, all dyno pulls shut down at 107.

TTS tuner is capable of removing that, not sure about others.

If a bike shows faster the speedometer is off.

Ask a professional tuner or good Harley mechanic
