Yes mid 50's (F) will be pretty nice for December. Did you have heated grips installed? Harley's heated ones work well. The other item I might suggest are the fork deflectors which fit right behind the passing lamps, they really keep a lot of air and buffeting coming from under the shield.

Had a wet ride home from the dealers on Saturday & took it out for a run Sunday, weather wasn't great 6C & very damp & foggy, but figured it needed a clean after ride back from dealers anyway. Very happy with the decision to trade my slim, not sure I'm going to get much riding in this time of the year though.

I will over time, have decided on the black engine casings, i'll get them done with the 1st service. Plan on blacking out the front end too, but like you not keen on the added cost ! I won't black out all the chrome though as i think a small amount is a good contrast.
