OP did I read it correct, you say you ride between 80 and 85 on city streets?

I am getting much better mpg out of my 114 CVO Street glide than I did out of the 15 CVO road glide I traded for it. I ride them the same way and speeds.

I get 45 to 50 mpg, all back roads not much traffic its 50 mpg. All interstate at 80 mph, its 44~45 mpg. I go about 240 miles between fill ups if I know the area.

For me, and all my vehicles, its also about knowing my engine. I believe that one of the first and easiest signs of an issue is a sudden drop in fuel mileage. Although, knowing the range is very useful on a long trip when you may have to plan stops strategically.

I've only topped mine off twice. But it's been at the same station same pump. Pure 91, no booze gas and only 215 miles on the bike so far. Both have been 36 mpg even. I expect it to improve vastly very soon. I was getting a **** ton of rear wheel hop up until about 40 miles ago. With the rear shock preload set very soft any bump in the road gave me insane rear wheel hop. Almost like riding a hardtail. It was that bad. Coming home from work the other day the rear shocks woke up as did the forks. Being I'm in Oklahoma it seems like I'm always running into a head wind,,, damit.

That is what I'm getting on my FLTRU as well. Just 1400 miles on her so far but really pleased. My 2012 Dyna Superglide just got 38 MPG and it was 250 lbs lighter.

I know what you are saying. Here in Okie-homer the winds are a pain in the butt not to mention the roads. When I bought mine in Florida in November the sales rep adjusted my shock preload to fit my weight. Rides a whole lot smoother than my old Dyna did. Can't wait for spring and better temps and get out for a nice ride.

Damn, that's a beautiful bike.

I put 1,000 miles on mine the first week, and I'm getting 45-ish mpg running a steady 75mph, and 40-ish on my commute with mixed driving.
