Default 2017 Road Glide Windshield

I just became the proud owner of a 2017 RG and was looking to replace the factory windshield with an aftermarket shield. After looking around and doing some research, I had narrowed my choices down to 2 companies, one of them being Freedom Shields. I had read many positive reviews about Freedom Shields, specifically customer service and product quality. Most of the reviewers recommended placing a telephone call to John, the company owner to assist in deciding what size shield was the best fit.
I called John today, and after discussion, it was decided that for my needs a 15" shield in medium tint, in the sport touring style would be best for me. I went to the Freedom Shields site and placed the order. When ordering, I got to the shipping method selection and only noticed 2 options, the least expensive of which was about $50. I thought it was kind of high, but ordered anyway.
Here is the unbelievable part......about 30 minutes after placing the order, I received a telephone call from John. He asked me why I picked such an expensive mode of shipping when UPS ground would get to me probably just as fast. I told him that I didn't see the ground option and it was probably a "brain fart" on my part. John said it wasn't a problem and he would change the shipping to ground and credit my credit card with the shipping cost difference and include the credit receipt in with the packaging.
I was so impressed by this customer service that I immediately felt compelled to come to the forum to tout Freedom Shields so that others looking for a windshield would at least give them consideration.
Also, if you call John and mention you are a forum member, he will give you a code to enter for a discount.

Love to hear about companies that go above and beyond for their customers, to often we only hear the negative. Kudos to John and his company

I would avoid Long Rides Shields. Their quality has gone down a lot.

I just bought one from them and I'm happy with it. For the price I wasnt expecting the highest quality but was pleasantly surprised.

ok I am not crazy...well maybe a little, but anyway, my long ride developed a pretty bad crack at the bolt. I thought I had tightened it too much but no, I have a feel for that kind of stuff. I do have the Harley brand windshield tall windshield and I am really glad that I didn't sell it off.

Freedom Sheild is great... awesome product and John is a good dude. I have had several of his sheilds for different bikes and all are top notch.

Cheers

I bought an 11" Cee Bailey dark. I'm 5-8 and could not be happier. I see over it just fine except going up steep hills but even then its optically clear - no distortion. Excellent fit and finish and I think it looks great. Never tried a recurve but I can't imagine it would help much more.

Put a Freedom Shields 12" Touring in medium tint on my Road Glide. I love it so far! Super nice thick windshield!
