Default Cam question, don't want to start anything but.....

So i am following this other thread and they showed this dyno chart......i know there will be pleanty of new cams coming out for the M8..... here goes my question.....

I ride and change gears in between 2500 and 4000 rpm.....most of the time my rpm are at around 3000.p, when cruising..... the power band or the extra "stuff" on this cam comes up at higher rpm (>4000) where i am not....and probaly will never be.
To me a better cam would be where i get better torque and horse powers between 1500 and 4000 rpm.....
Why would folks change to the WM8-777....????? .....if I changed to this one I will probably never use the power of it.....thank you, please no flamers, I just want to understand whats with what.....

Theres plenty of cam selections to fit your needs most people that want to make the bike pull high are wanting to race their bikes a little bit are gonna go for a cam thats making more power up top, if your just using your bike to cruise and never really getting on it or rippin then id suggest just keeping the stop cam, going with a nice 2 into 1 setup and tune then call it a day and enjoy the ride

You need the wm8-222 cam for your needs. That's what I'm having Fuel Moto install for me in June for the same reason. I ride two up 90% of the time and want that sweet spot down low.

found this interesting, and particularly satisfying for me anyway...with just a SE Stage 1 and Dyno tune using the Pro Street Tuner it basically turned my 107 into a stock 114, for ~$1500..pulls strong and smooth in the rpm range you describe you enjoy..but the fact you're interested in cams indicates you want more power so perhaps moot point..but pretty good 'value' and about as non intrusive as you can get and still get respectable performance..attached a stock CVO dyno chart and my 107 S1...practically identical numbers..what I really like is mine is just a hair under 100 ft lbs of TQ at only 1750 rpm's and 106 peak at 3K

I am missing something. How can a 107 Stage 1 have more torque than a 107 stage 2 with the torque cam.

I can't answer that..not a dyno operator..there are variances involved in testing I suspect from place to place..what I can say with confidence is the trust I have in Latus Motors HD who performed my tune. Their service techs, starting with Mike Stegman, are heavily involved in Team Latus Racing, highly qualified, experienced and have a great reputation.

^^^^THIS^^^^

I'm doing this right now, along with V&H power duels and Rinehart muff with a Power vision.
Now I have a set of SE muffs to get rid of.

Not saying they didn't do good job. Something is just out of place
