Default Harley Insurance

I've got Harley insurance through Geico. Got it when I bought a bike about 8 years ago. Have had one wreck, and thought the adjuster treated me really well. I haven't had to use any of the extras, towing, etc. That being said, the premiums seem pretty high. What has your experience been with Geico, and have you switched to another company?

When I picked up riding again my agent hooked me up with Progressive. No claims but when it was time to renew my policy it went up almost double. I requested a quote from Geico and they were about where I used to be for the same coverage. Been with them since. If I notice my premium goes up substantially I will shop around again.

I haven't had any experience with Geico but just out of curiosity, how much do your premiums cost?

Geico quotes have always been much higher for me. Guess it's to pay for all those lizard commercials.

Thanks for the responses. I'm paying $910/yr for full coverage on a '13 SG, $100k/300k/50K liability, $50k uninsured motorist, $500 deductible on comp/collision. Collision is $463 of my $910 premium, probably because of the bike value. Looks like I need to shop around.

Not sure if it was/is my age or what but when I bought my Springer in 05, I got full coverage from Progressive and it costs me around $30/month. In the almost 10 years that I've had insurance with them, my premiums haven't gone up. I might also add that I've never had any accidents or tickets so maybe that helps too.
