Foremost jacked up my premium to over $900; my broker found the same coverage with Dairyland for $500.

At one time many years I ago had State Farm insurance on my motorcycle.

My wife (who did not ride a motorcycle at the time) managed to get three minor speeding tickets (freeway driving in a three year period) and State Farm cancelled my motorcycle insurance!
I called my agent and explained to him that I could understand a rate increase, but cancellation??

Shortly afterwards, I didn't renew my State Farm homeowners insurance (went with a different company) and to this day they still send me letters trying to get me to renew my policy with them.

I've had Progressive insurance on (our multiple motorcycles) and even though I may be able to save a few bucks by going to a different carrier, Progressive hasn't drastically jacked my rates up, so I'll stay with them until I have a good reason to go elsewhere.

I've yet to have a claim with them so I cannot say (either way) how their service is, but I'll give the benefit of doubt until then.

Like someone else said, there are a lot of variables to consider. You could use one of those online quotes to compare of find an insurance broker. For me, I have a home, 3 autos, 2 bikes and a boat all with State Farm. This affords me some various discounts. I have yet to find another company that can match what I pay and I have had two brokers try over the last couple of years. I just finished a $100K house flood claim with them and they were good to work with.

I am awaiting my progressive renewal. It has gone up the past 2 years. I stayed due to the new bike replacement I had. Now the bike does not qualify for that so we will see......

Markel for me. Best rates and they only deal in recreational vehicles. I pay 288 a year for full coverage, roadside assistance, and $5000 in additional accessory coverage. I have 0n 07 UC BTW.

I had State Farm on everything, got a quote from HD/Progressive that gave more and cost less for my bike, so I went with it on my bike.
Costs are going to vary from state to state, you will just have to call around and get the SPECIFICS along with prices and compare for yourself. Your mileage WILL vary.
Good luck!

As others have said, rates will differ according to your area. I live in a rural area of Wisconsin so my riding season is only about 7 months. My 09 Ultra is covered thru Dairyland for under $300 per year.

Dairyland is cheapest by far for our two bikes. Even comparing agains Progressive which has all of our vehicles.
