I was just quoted 1200.00 for a year here in Cali. I was not expecting that much. After a few discounts I got it down to under 1000.00 a year. Me thinks I need to shop around some. Any ideas who I could call for a better/best price?

With Allstate, on my car, bike and home I can either pay the premium in full or monthly. If I pay monthly, it's an extra $3.50 per month.

It would seem what people perceive as a discount, is in reality the difference between what the insurance costs, and what finance charges your NOT paying.,,

That's all it really comes down to. Pay in full and there's your discount. Pay monthly, quarterly or whatever, and there is a fee added on.

I was never offered a payment plan, just to pay for it for a year, which was okay with me.

Same here. When I was told how little it was for the whole year, I just told them that I would pay it all at once and get it over with.

Default tri-glide 2015

this is my story about motorcycle insurance. i just bought a 2015 tri-glide but before i did i called the insurance company i had to find out about a new policy for the 2015 tri-glide. it would go up! to 131.00 a month! w.t.f.? i was paying 92.50 a month on a 2012 ultra-limited. my salesman at the dealer gave me a pamplet for progressive insurance. i called the number and got the same coverage for 66.38!!! really? i can,t believe the differance! i know the price fo rpaying monthly is alittle higher but when i can go from 131.00 a month to 66.38 for the same coverage! hell yes i will go for that. just my story and thank you all for sharing yours. jim

Geico takes monthly payments but charges for the privilege. Paying at once offers a discount.
