Called my insurance company 4 months ago and asked if I purchased a HD factory Smart Security system for the bike if my premium would drop.
Answer: of course, by at least 10%.
So I purchase HD's smart security system, have my local dealer install and program.
Called Gieco, (current ins. co.) and they ended up dropping my insurance by $1.05 per month. WTF?
Go figure.

 

Well, were your previous payments $10.50 per month? Then it's all good.

I'll bet if you call and ask, they'll tell you that they discovered you were being 'under charged' so they corrected their mistake and you got 10% off of that. Don't you feel fortunate?

Most likely they didn't lie, they just did not tell you the entire truth.


My best guess would be the security system saved you 10% on your comprehensive premium. Theft is part of your comprehensive coverage and the only claim the security system helps to prevent is theft.


I think they call that a white lie?

 

Besides, Geico charged me half what those thieves at Progressive wanted! Load up the paintball gun for Flo!
