The have to pay for all the annoying advertising and the salary of that bubblehead flo. Not to mention the salaries of all those marketing dipshits that come up with all the stupid scenarios they advertise. You people do know that insurance is a banking product don't you? These genuises in marketing have university degrees so they can come up with all that idiotic crap...bankster stooges. Geico started that silly childish junk. Shop around and go with a local or regional one that don't have enormous advertising budgets. You can also bond yourself at your bank, its the same as. If enough people would do this then flo would have to go back to babysitting special needs children.

I've had 3 bikes on a Geico policy here in NorCal for a while. My wife's Deluxe, My 2008 Street Glide and a BMW K1300 GT. Each bike's premium (full coverage and lots of liability coverage) was like $280 per year. (We're both in our 50's with good driving records)
So recently, the older Street Glide gets stolen, I trade the BMW in for a new 2015 Road Glide Special and the premium for the new bike is double that of my Street Glide. Two bikes now covered for the cost of three.

After being with State Farm for over 25 years (no accidents, 1 ticket in 1985 and no claims) and being happy with them they raised the Vette (3K miles a year) policy a bunch. I started looking around and found a local broker that wrote a policy for New York Central Mutual, an AA rated company. I tried Liberty Mutual, Progressive and USAA, no one could touch them. The Vette, my '14 GMC Acadia and my home under NYCM now save me $1,300 a year. The bike is still with State Farm, full coverage around $450 a year so I'll keep it with them for now.

USAA does use Progressive, just like 21st Century uses Foremost. I had progressive with my Heritage and it was $300 per year with $0 deductible in the Seattle area. When I bought my SGS, my insurance went to $895 a year with $250 deductible. When I moved to SoCal, it went to $1050. I'm 57, no accidents. I switched to Geico and it went down to $550 per year.

I bought a new 2005 Soft Tail Standard in 2005 and purchased Progressive Ins. I paid about $285 per yr. with $250 deductible. Because of an umbrella policy I have to max out the coverage and have to pay a little more. This week decided to trade up to a new 2015 Street Glide Special. Called Progressive and told them of and change which would take place in a couple of days. They said no problem that I have a 30 day grace period but they would give me a quote on the new bike. $859 per year!!!!! I live in Iowa so only ride about 7 months of the year. Couldn't believe it was correct and there had to be a mistake. Perfect driving record, no claims, great credit etc. Called my insurance guy who said he would check rates when he returned from vacation in a couple of days. Mean while I happen to find a web site with a free quote from Geico. $321 for a year. Figured that was more like it. The more I thought about Progressive, I figured they had to have made a mistake. Called back and talked to 2 difference people who came up with the same $859 price. Today my insurance guy returned home from vacation and priced insurance with West Bend. $165 for the year. Still can't figure out why there was such a large increase but happy with the new rate. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

After 11 years I dropped them a couple months back. They send me email monthly about what a great valued customer I was. But my rates went up as high as someone I know with a DUI and a few ticket. I have none. GECIO put me back where I should be with both my bikes and I then dropped Progressive on my cars and switched them also.
