TD is Toronto Dominion Bank, they started doing life insurance a few years back and now do home, auto, etc.

They had been the cheapest for years, now that they have a customer base, the prices are being jacked

I can’t find anything less than what my TD renewal came in, most quotes were at least $200.00 more, with Personal being $600.00 more, ($2,036.00). Full coverage with $1,000 deductible on a 2014 Limited, clean record, no claims.

Guess I grin and bear it for one more year, but if it keeps up, the HD is going as most of my long distance riding is behind me.

thanks
brian

State Farm sold there auto business last year. Got my policy statement ,the premium doubled. My agent said that the new carrier did not want to do motorcycles. At a doubling of my rates I still did better than a lot of their clients, many seeing increases of 5X. TD did OK until I actually talked to them. Told them what my mileage was a year, the rate went up $500. Riders Plus was about the best I could find at $1225. Lets see how long this lasts.

2014 RK ... I carry a huge amount of insurance for uninsured, under insured, with high medial payouts, comprehensive, theft, accessory coverage, you name it I got it. I am not a person who normally believes in carrying large amounts of insurance, but was my first HD and got carried away. Ill pare it down someday.

I pay $420. a year through Progressive.
We're no more socialized than you are - we just pay more taxes so forget the jingoism.
Do we like it? No. Our systems and populations are different, that's all.

I buy 2 policies a year for the Harley: My basic 3rd party from ICBC at about 1200/yr, and 519/yr from a 3rd party for fire, theft and collision with garage policy.

I'm insured a full year.

I don't like it, especially as the BC Government uses ICBC as a cash cow, but it's that or not ride.
I'll fight the fight I can win, not the one which just leaves me broken.

Man you all are getting raped up there. I carry a fairly high amount of coverage on a '06 RK and '11 Ultra Limited and only pay around 500 a year.

Dalton Timmis is the broker for Aviva which I have. I had TD before the price hike. This is my second year with them. I've gone on-line for quotes and nobody can beat their price. I'm paying around $1050.00 for the year full coverage including collision.

What's "TD" Insurance?

TD is Toronto Dominion Bank, they started doing life insurance a few years back and now do home, auto, etc.

They had been the cheapest for years, now that they have a customer base, the prices are being jacked

I'm paying about $250 a year with Geico for full coverage on my 2010 FLHTK and 2008 KLR650
