Holy Cow, I feel your pain... I went with the Progressive insurance through H-D and my monthly premium is $9.00 U.S. for a total annual premium of $108.00 for $100,000 - $300,000 coverage for Personal Liability and Comprehensive Damage. We also have a $1,000,000 Umbrella Policy just in case.

I insured house cars and bikes through TD up until this week. I am part of a large Group Policy through TD. My house went up $200 and 2 bikes up over $200 each. Complained to TD they didn't care. Dumped them and went with a broker. I too got a much much better rate with Aviva. It's been my experience that the group policy is cheaper, for the first 3 years or so then the price increases a lot after that. I watch my rates closely and will switch as soon as I see the increases start.

If I had to pay that much for insurance, I wouldn't have a bike. Wow.. That's double the price of my truck and 4 times what I pay for my bike. Sorry to all that have to pay those prices..

With high insurance rates adding to the expense and possibly out of reach for some, I'm surprised that HD hasn't offered a similar insurance package for Cdns. Less players equal less revenue.

ICBC rakes you over the coals for your basic insurance, but I've been pretty happy with my cheap Beacon coverage ($400 for the year, not bad). Haven't had to make a claim yet though, so you never know how good your insurance company is until you ask them for money.

Yeh, you've got that right. ICBC charged me $580 last year for 6 months coverage at 1 mil liability and nothing else.
I just renewed today and they put the rate up to $671 for the same policy.
I have the max discount and an impeccable record.
Too many fancy buildings, overpaid executives and employees.
Never mind the certain types of people that scam the insurance company as if it were the lottery when they have or fake an accident.
