I guess I've been lucky with my progressive rates. It was expensive my first year, but now I'm paying less than half what I was 6 years ago on the Road King. Full coverage plus accessories and I'm down to the $0 disappearing deductible.

As for the comment of them now being open to everyone I don't believe that is accurate. It is open to military and family of military. Unless something has changed, which I hope not as the customer service is unmatched as well as the claims process. Once it's open to everyone the service experience will erode.
I wasn't sure. I thought they had opened up to everybody. I just started the policy for my new bike through them and they didn't sub it out to progressive, but that may be just because I'm overseas.

It always amazes me some of the stories I hear. I had progressive for almost 15 years through USAA and they were constantly bumping my premiums. I told them I was dropping them for that very reason. I even gave them the opportunity to price match Allstate but they said no. I feel like Allstate gave me a better rate just to get my business. I feel like all insurance companies are crooks. I'm in the process of trying to settle a $95,000.00 property damage claim on my home with State Farm.

Insurance rates are going up all over the country so get used to it but check Farmers/ Foremost. I was getting outrageous quotes on the new RK through the usual suspects and Foremost did both my bikes for less than what the others wanted for the RK alone and very good coverage.

I just shopped around and here are my findings, all with identical coverage. Foremost $482.00, Dairyland $508.35, Geico $538.10, Progressive $403.00, Allstate $401.00. I'm still waiting on State Farm's quote, I currently have 5 policies with them so I'm hoping for a good rate.

Erie just started writing motorcycle insurance again. I had them 37 years ago. My liability only for Superglide was about $50 a year. If they are available in your area check with them. I now have more coverage and full coverage on both of my motorcycles for a lot less than Progressive wanted for full on one and liability on the other. Once when renewing MC insurance on my MC, they gave me a quote on my cars and truck, I laughed out loud when they came in at $2k a year more than I was paying for Erie.

Premium all depends on how much coverage you want. This company specializes in motorcycles and sport vehicles. Very competitive

I'm wondering what some of you have for uninsured and under insured coverage ? I currently have $100,000.00/ $300,000.00 but was told my premium would go down about $60.00 a year if I switched to $50,000.00/ $100,000.00 on both of those. I don't want to be under insured just to save $60.00 a year but I also don't want to pay for more than I need. Your thoughts please. Thanks
