Default Progressive and Geico Quotes.....LOL

Sooo... I thought I'd go to the GEICO website and the PROGRESSIVE website and see just how much they would save me.... both of them are more expensive than my current coverage with STATE FARM.

I currently pay $628/year for both of my 2009 HD's with STATE FARM

GEICO wanted a whopping $979/year ($351 more)
PROGRESSIVE wanted $666/year ( $38 more)

With both online websites.. they give you an original quote and usually it's with the lowest liability/property/medical coverages... and the highest deductible. You have to click around to change the coverages to match what you have.

I was a little bit bummed when he told me that State Farm didn't offer anything in the way of towing, etc. The bike was insured and that was it. Was just wondering what coverage other owners have with their insurance company when your bike breaks down ?

Thanks,

Just a thought. Check out a Triple A (AAA) membership with RV option. Hope this helps.

I checked it out and it's pretty expensive compared to the HOG membership. AAA wants $80 for the membership with the motorcycle coverage.

Thanks for the tip though

Called my agent on the medical coverage issue. They confirmed that State Farm does not offer any medical coverage on bike insurance in the state of Alabama. In other states they do, so I am guessing that they only offer it where the state law makes them offer it. What a rip, I am going to check out some other company's.

Default State Farm

I also have ST FM and I also took the experienced motorcycle safety course.

I asked my State Farm agent if St Fm gives discounts for taking the Experienced MC safety course and they said NO. Bummer.
