Default Improve ease of handling of tourers

Given the original design goals of HD tourers, while traveling effortlessly straight at highway speeds, they steer rather heavily (relatively speaking) through the twisties. I've also ridden Goldwings and they handle magnificently for such a large motorcycle. How/can we get HD tourers to handle the same? I do understand that the trail of these two designs are very different. Thanks

Increase the length of the rear shocks and drop the forks by 1/4 - 1/2"?

Maybe I'm just a barbarian, but I have no problem with my Road Glide. I whip it around like my Dyna.

I ride a Road King most of the time and Love the way it handles ..It is a 16 model traded in a 07 Road King on it ..I don't care for the fairings and all that up front ..

The same way Honda does, don't mount the fairing on the front forks. If only Harley built a bike like that....

Oh wait a moment they do it is called Road Glide and the fairing is mounted on the frame like all sport bikes (not saying the RG is a sport bike). This makes the front end handle much lighter.
