2003 CVO Deuce

You asked so here's my $.02 People think because it's a 100th anniversary bike it's worth gold. Maybe to a collector but they probably already bought one new & stored it. To the average rider he don't care about anything but condition & price & that's way too much for a bike that old. I don't care if it has 0 miles & was kept in the house & never saw the light of day IMHO Good luck to your buddy selling it
older thread but I'll bump it back up only because the whole CVO thing has always irked me for some reason.
pricing on these must have tanked over the past few months because they can be had (can't see the ad anymore but assuming it was either blue/black or black/gold) all over cycletrader and CL for 6500 - 9000 with only the idiots and the dealers asking 11k+ for them. They truly aren't made of gold, it's just another damn motorcycle.
I get they're CVOs and all and I get that you paid a lot more for it than most others paid for their non CVO models but this truly is one of those "in the eyes of the beer-holder" things. It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I'm a huge Saints fan and I want and have been looking for a black/gold one in good shape without 50k miles on it for a reasonable price. It's a nice looking bike I'd like to add to the stable but the realistic part of it is, I know these bikes fairly well and I will not over-pay just because it's the color scheme I want and it's got some chrome doodads on it. For less than $2000 I setup my 2012 FLHTK to outrun any stock FLHTKSE out there and I didn't have to pay $40k for it because of the pretty paint job. There's simply not enough beer.
