Just some information on the nitrous. It was only tested on the street for a about 2 seconds in 3rd gear and has never been used since. It was installed for advertisement for Nitrous Outlet. The system is very safe via the window switch. How a window switch works is exactly what its called. The system can only operate inside a "window". The bike is fuel injected so the window switch is tied into the factory computer. The window switch looks for wide open throttle (WOT) which is 5v on the throttle position sensor (TPS). The window switch is also tied in to read RPMS. So the window switch can read rpms and TPS voltage so it can decide when to turn on and shut off the nitrous hince called a window/activation switch. So if you have the system armed via the chrome switch in front of the trip reset button it will not activate until WOT and above 3k rpms, any rpm below 3k rpms @ WOT the system will not activate. Now for the high rpms, the rev limiter for the engine is 5,600rpms well the window switch is set to shut off the nitrous at 5,500rpms for safety reasons and those reasons are because the factory rev limiter cuts fuel not timing and cutting fuel on nitrous is no good!
I just wanted to clear the air on nitrous stuff. I have had some calls from guys bad mouthing nitrous. Nitrous has come a long way! It is very safe now.
