I know this isn’t the kinda of bike most of you guys are into, but im throwing it up a bunch of places in case anyone wants it or knows someone who might……

the bike..........
its a soft tail (that looks like a hard tail) 9' long with a 300 mm rear tire, sporting a 117 c.i. S&S motor (1917 cc), with a 6 speed baker trans!!!!!
Awesome bike, real head turner. runs and shifts great with no problems! Rides awesome!!! And sounds insanely loud!!!! Tons of chrome and polish!!!! 8,XXX miles or so, almost 5k in mods!

asking price / trade........
its book valued around 16k, with close to 5k of extras in it. BigDog’s aren’t made anymore and in “bike” season sell above book value. So I’m thinking starting an asking price around $18.5k. I also don’t mind waiting for spring to sell it or just keeping it since i love this bike and i don't "need" to sell it or "need" money.
BUT FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!

If its a trade a nice newer HARLEY (preferably a fat boy lo, or glide, possibly v-rod...ect) or i really like the BMW S1000RR
im also interested other bikes plus cash, or something else of things of equal or higher value, or a lower end trade with cash added since id like to free up some cash for a 93+ twin turbo 6 spd supra. also interested in certain handguns, rifles, or registered class 3 weapons....

You might get lucky and get 15-16K for it.
The right person has to want it though. Someone who doesn't know about why BD went under.

 

I don't know their story, why did Big Dog go under?

 

Their main customers were building contractor riding high on the housing bubble.
They would drop 30-40K on something flashy other than a HD.

Once the bubble burst and money dried up, BD stopped honoring warranty work to both their dealers and customers.

Is there a homeowner's association to monitor your behavior?

 

That's what it looks like when planning commissions approve developer's requests to put 8 or more houses per acre. High density, urban living at it's best.

 

Sorry, but you'll be lucky to get $11,000. 8,000 mile on a big dog, that a ton of miles.
