Thinking about Daytona Bike Week...
Hello all,
Thinking about maybe heading to Daytona this spring for Bike Week. Looking for some ideas as I have never been. Anything that those of you who have been there. What are the must do's, and the over rated things. Also suggestions on lodging. Has to be a motel/hotel/condo/cabin, not camping. Finally what is your route from the Northeast?
Thanks in advance

Ride the A1A from light house to lighthouse( St Augistine-Ponce Inlet ), Ride the Loop, Broken Spoke at night, Iron Horse, Main Street at night! Eat at the Hidden Treasure Rum bar, Golden Lion, High Tides at Snack Jacks! Checkout St Augustine downtown! Ride over to Patlaka bike bar! I know there is so much more, but these are my favorites!

I went to Bike week three years straight with last year riding there. It was a cold ride going, but warmer weather on the return. Stayed at the cabbage patch last year with about 20 friends, and had a blast. Destination Daytona, and the speedway are a must for vendors, and the main drag is a zoo for some nighttime fun.

Been going on and off for last 25 years , midweek the crowd isn't as bad , get a place to stay first thing ( like now ) . Expect traffic and cops everywhere , you can walk a 1/2 mile or so and be back drinking while everyone else is stuck in traffic ( learned that one ) . If you just want a roof over your head some of the places a block off the beach can be reasonable all things considered .
