Default empty oil resorvoir

I have 94 heritage. its been sitting for 2 months. I notice no oil in the oil tank. I said to myself i will get some oil and add some. My son came to visit he started the bike not realizing that was no oil in tank. whe n i got home ive noticed the was warm. i was to ask him if started the bike and he said yes. so i looked in the oil tank and was full to its level. So i let it set for about another month. the tank was empty again. Why is the oil draining into the crankcase does anyone know why it does that?

The oil is wet sumping the engine case. A dirty check ball. weak checkball spring or bad check ball seat will cause that.

That's not an uncommon problem. That's why you always check oil when warm.

Oh and Welcome!
