I have a 2013 road king 110th anniversary edition. I added a fairing that came painted black. the colors on the bike are vintage bronze and vintage black and I want to have the fairing painted to match. I ordered the paint from a harley dealer and they said that a base coat is not needed but according to a website called Color rite they say it needs a base coat for each color. does anyone know who's right. Thanks

yes you need a base coat for both colours. The black is vintage black and I believe you paint the the bronze then apply the metallic over both colours at the same time.
