New to the forums
Just picked up a 2010 Denim Black Street Glide a few weeks ago. Switched over from a Honda Shadow Phantom edition. To start this off I need to warn any HD diehards that its about to get unpleasant. I like the new bike but have to say, its twice the price and half the comfort. Was really surprised how uncomfortable it really is despite being geard towards "touring". I could go 500 miles on my honda and feel fine but after 120 on the harley im hurting all over. I think it has a lot of potential to be what I need but will definitely need a new seat and grips at least. Hoping with a little research and not tooooo much more money I can become a believer but for now I still think we are all paying an extra few grand for a name. And as far as the bike being "made in america", start pulling parts off and read the labels and you will quickly learn otherwise. Not trying to make my introduction post a HD bashing one just trying to encourage some people to help me see why this bike is so great.
