oil blew off the dip stick.
Can any help me with a issues I'm having with my 07 softail. I changed the oil this past weekend, and when I started it up oil was blowing out of the tank. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You are likely overfull on the oil. Check cold to start with and while on sidestand cold level should be close to the add mark and no higher then 1/2 way between the 2 index marks. If you are a half a qt or more over it will puke it out. Make sure your oil cap fits tight in fill tube.

Welcome from Hampton Roads VA. Softails have a bad habit of having the cork get loose. Is it loose? I had to add two o'rings in the cork grooves. It would be obvious if too full. Half way between marks cold. Top of stick scalding hot.

2013 Heritage here. I only fill my oil when cold to the half way mark on the dipstick. Today I checked my oil cold it was almost to the add mark, after a couple hours of riding it was at the full mark.
Im going to say you have too much oil in the horse shoe tank.
