Hi all! Been off a bike for a few years but have the itch again really bad. I used to ride sportbikes, but I know I don't want one now. I've been to quite a few open houses, demo trucks, etc., this year and ridden a variety of bikes, which has been a great experience (after being so narrowly focused before).

But to the point, I have now ridden my first Harleys - a new Low Rider and a 2012 Night Rod Special, and I loved them! I know they are quite different Harleys, but I liked both for different reasons, and am now strongly considering getting a Harley, so I figured I would join here to learn as much as I can.

Welcome! Certainly lots of HD options that covers most aspects of riding, all ride different. Pick what you like and rock out, I say check out the street bob and fat bob too, great handling bikes that can be set up to do handle whatever you throw at them!

If I decide to go old school air-cooled (instead of the vrod), it will most likely be something in the Dyna line. The Fat Bob is definitely a consideration, also the Switchback and the Low Rider, which is the only Dyna I've ridden so far. I like the mid controls on the Street Bob, but not the mini-apes, hard seat, etc.
