New old kid on the block
Hello everyone, I'm Tom. I just bought my first Harley last week. I'm 57 yrs old, and I rode a bit when I was in the Army many years ago. I bought a metric bike about six years ago and although I really liked it, it soon became apparent that it was going to be too small. Still, it was a good bike. I finally decided to move up and I've always liked the Heritage Softails. So I bought one. It is a 2005 Heritage Softail FLSTCI. I haven't had much time to ride due to work and weather, but the day I got it I was able to put about 100 miles on it and I can tell I'm going to love it. I thought that moving to a bike so much larger than what I had, 40ci to 88ci, would really be a big change, and to be honest, I'm going to need to get used to it. But it's great. I'm going to need a lot of low speed practice, but at highway speeds, and on the highway itself, I'm already impressed.
