Sportster 1200c 2004
Hello, good to meet you all !
My name is Dan and I started riding about a year ago. I live in Muscat in Oman and have a 1200C 2004 Sportster. The country side here is beautiful and many great roads from mountains to deserts to coast. I have many questions regarding my project to Bob my bike and would welcome feed back from any one with experience of a project like this. I dont want to go hard tail, just chop the rear mudgaurd. I was thinking of
Burly Slammer shocks, either LA Choppers or Biltwell 1 1/4 Drag Bars and Arlen Ness Big Sucker. I have no idea of the knock on effects of installing these items, any advice gartefully recieved.
My big issue is I want a wider front end to accommodate a wider front wheel ( I dont want to use Springers ) If any one has any suggestions what assemble to use and how difficult the instal would be etc please let me know.
I cannot find any instruments for side mounting, I would like the sped on the side by the fuel tank, I don't need any other dials I think, possible and a good/bad idea ?
I appologize for my extreme ignorance, looking forward to learning……
Happy Christmas,
Dan.

If you will head over to the Sportster area or the Tech areas I bet you will find more information on what you want to do.
