Hey everyone, just picked up my first bike a couple weeks ago. It is an 04 XL883 completely stock with ~5300 miles. I am going to turn this into my dream bike and would like to share the journey with you. Please feel free to chime in with comments and/or suggestions.
Here is my bike the day I brought it home:
***In the past few weeks I have added forward controls and slip-ons which just came in today. Will post first updated picture later this evening after the install.
To-do list in now particular order:
install forward controls X
slip-on X
relocate license plate/chop fender
install 12" bars (free from buddy)
begin to convert most chrome parts, including motor, to flat black
I'd just say think your mods through carefully... in all my yrs in here reading, it seems most Sporty buyers only own their bikes 12-18 months before wanting a Bigger bike..
just saying don't put a lot of coin in it only to loose it a yr later if you decide to trade... Because most Mods will not increase your price if you do sell or trade it in..
