Hello! David here. I acquired a 77 Sportster from an unfortunate down on his luck. It is what I would describe as a rolling basket. I have no desire to ride at length, I bought it to learn more about it in a technical sense. I have been associated with bikers most of my life and appreciate the love and lifestyle being involved with Harley's. I'm an old American Love it or leave it type. Even though my project is of the hang your head in sham era. (Someone had to show the copy cats how to build a V-Twin) I digress. I am ignorant as to parts sources with quality products at reasonable prices. Where to find service manuals and information without getting screwed. So, here I am. Sucking up all of the information you knowledgeable and generous people are willing to share. Be gentle with me and you will have my admiration and gratitude.
