Talking Haloooo from the UK.

Just wondering how long a final drive belt should last on average. I have an XL1200R 2004 with only 3500 miles up but, being over 10 yrs old, wondered if it's likely that the final belt will be deteriorating/perishing? Does anyone know?

I agree with Wild Hog but if you are not sure take a close look at it. Look for dry rot, any cracks, missing pieces, etc. If you see any of those change it for sure.

Check the pulleys too, ...look for sharp peeling chrome that can cut a new belt.
