Triple tree removal 74 sportster

hello all, i am trying to from my front triple tree and forks to do a hard tail weld on. i have loosened the pinch bolts and cant figure out how too remove the fork. do you tap the tubes out or do they spin out counter clockwise? i have tried to turn them with no luck, it looks like there are threed in the top of the triple tree.
