Portuguese Harley rider
Hi!
I'm from Queluz, a small town north of Lisbon, Portugal.
Already owned a 1999 Roadking Classic, a 1993 Dyna Wide Glide and a 1998 Sportster XLH.
Now I'm without a bike, I'm looking for a affordable ride.
I must look well, as that cost almost the double that in the US[:@]
I really like the 2007 Dyna Glide Custom but with the same money (around 15000€) there are used tourings on the market...
Since 2002 i'm member of the HDC Big Twin España, a Harley Club 1100 kms from home.
But there are plenty HDC's in Spain and the rest of europe and being Portgal a small country it's not hard to ride abroad.
That's all for now.

RE: Portuguese Harley rider
Howdy from Dallas. With that much markup, you may want to see what getting a US-model and shipping it in costs (I do not know your import duties so dunno if that would be cheaper). But if the touring models are the same price over there they may be the better buy for you if importing is not an option.

RE: Portuguese Harley rider
Per eg. a brand new Ultra Classic goes for 25500€ (in black), solid colours and two-tone are more expensive.
The Dyna Glide Custom starts at 15000€ , a 883 Std starts at 8500€ (maybe more) and so one...
The cheaper way is to buy it in the UK, Germany or France, but even so I must pay for shipment, insurance and legalization in Portugal, what can be expensive, in some cases it pays to buy it in Portugal []
In the August the 14 th I've went to check out a 1989 FLHC with some extras, mint condition and about 23000 kms on. The price was 9000€, but it had been sold the Saturday before! [&o]
I may find a Tour Glide for the same price, red and bordeaux colour scheme...
Thank you all for the warm welcome!
