new to site from Long Island
hello all, i just bought a new trike. trike riding is very new to me. and i'll add i never owned a new bike ever. my 1st was an old 1976 shovelhead. i got sick after 9/11/01 and stop riding for awhile. i bought this 2014 hd trike because i got bone cancer and i can't hold up a bike anymore. the cancer was in the leg. the trike was the perfect fit for me. look forward to coming to this site on cold days and rainy days, other then that i'll hope to be riding...life is short! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/image.../icon_bike.gif

I hear ya! I just started riding last year. It took 43 years to finally get a bike and now there is no turning back.
I just joined the site after lurking for a while. Great info so far.
Sorry to hear about the cancer but great that you are back with the trike.
If you don't mind me asking, were you a part of 911? Firefighter? Police? I have had the opportunity to meet some of the firefighters and police who were on duty. As a firefighter myself I have much admiration for what they did in the aftermath. 343 is a number that will never be forgotten.
