No bike ...yet
Hope you don't mind a non-rider sticking his nose in here ....
But after about 40-mumble years without a motorcycle, the emergence of Spring and the approach of a new phase of life (with kids grown and retirement in sight) finds me thinking about bikes again. To be honest, I've not previously thought of myself as an H-D person, but their simplicity and elegance has always been able to turn my head.
Not to mention that they are an American icon.
When I was riding my little '68 Honda, the Harleys, Truimphs, and Nortons of the day were all right-hand shift. So even recently I was wondering that if I chose to ride a Harley, would I need to un-learn left-footed shifting. But then I discovered that such a concern is no more, at least for anything built since, ohh 1974....
Obviously I've got a lot to learn, and re-learn. So I joined this forum, to learn more about these beautiful machines, and to discover what's right - for me.
First step of the journey is an MSF course - I'm signed up for a class in early May. Much to my surprise, my wife wanted to sign up as well!

Some nice looking bikes in the sigs here.... I've got a long ways to go before I center in on what I want.... some days its an EG, but I see some fine Road Kings and Softails too... for that matter, I'm not sure what would make one better than the other for me...
