Prices outside of the USA are the stuff they make nightmares of.
Compare the price (52,480.74 USD) I'm having to pay for my CVO Limited with what our USA friends have to pay. Well, at least they are more rare here.

I was at a dealership in Shizuoka, Japan in the spring, and they had a CVO Limited on the floor for over 5 million Yen ($50,000 US).

While stationed in Germany from late 2008 til Jan 2012, I bought 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2011 Jeep Cherokee Overland and a 2012 HD Fatboy at militarcarsales.com. I got excellent pricing on the Fatboy $16,500 with 4 year extended warranty, security system, abs etc. That same bike for Europeans would be 20k plus, that is why when I head back there early next year I will be selling my 2014 Ultra Limited there in Germany at a higher price that I paid for it but lower than their local dealership, then going back to militarycarsales and ordering a newer HD and have a very nice down payment.

Are you sure you won't have to pay German import tax before being able to sell the bike?Vehicles owned by military/DOD personnel are allowed in the country tax exempt as long as they're owned by said personnel.

Down here we can't have red light turn indicators, they have to be amber, amongst a few other expensive compliance details.

I don't know how the warranty would apply either.

Still, in a lot of ways our income is higher so everything balances out I guess.
What you (and everyone else outside the US, barring Canada and Japan, who have their own versions) IS an international edition. And we outside the US all suffer because of it, because if there's one item that doesn't meet a local requirement somewhere, none of us get it. It's better now than it used to be (at least we get the tourpak light bar now, and decent mirroros on the CVO limited), but we still lose out. In terms of parts, our bikes cost HD less than domestic bikes. Mine (FLHTKSE) costs just short of $50,000 US out the door.

Has the price gone up for 2015 models? My 2014 was £29995, which is less than the $52480 you quote.

Yes, price has gone up again. Plus the exchange rate has changed a little too.

Yep, but the exchange rate has gone in the direction that lowers the US$ price - i.e. when I bought mine in July, £30,000 x1.71 = $51,300. Now the £ has gone down, so £30,000 x 1.61 = $48,300.

What's the list price in £ now then?

List is £30,300. I've a few extra's added and don't forget the RFL and in my case transfer of the cherished number plate. Total for mine came to £32,650. (XE.com may have been a little off too)

RFL is included in the list price though.

Yes, my number plate transfer and accessories took mine to around £34500.

Can't believe they've upped the price again!
