So, my Samsung phone syncs-up fine when I turn on the the ignition. It will receive and place calls just fine. However, if I then try and play music with the phone I have to perform the following steps: select "setup" on the Infotainment system, select "Bluetooth," select "paired devices," select my specific Samsung phone, select "disconnect music," and finally select "connect music."

I have to do this every single time I want to play music from my phone. And then sometimes I have do it several times. It shouldn't be this difficult!

 

I have no issues playing music from my Samsung on Bluetooth thru the bike. Just select the device and it plays. I have two devices listed and just select the one I want and it plays. I will have to look tomorrow and see how I have it setup.

 

Two etching isn't right with this issue for sure. Like others I have an iPod that stays plugged in the cubby and my phone connects every time I start the bike. I can switch between the two with no problem right from the joy sticks or the infotainment system. I would make sure the software is up to date and then maybe stop by the dealer and demonstrate the issue to them. Good luck and hope you get it resolved soon.

 

What's your default music player on the phone? I use Mixzing as my main player & need to change it to the phone's default player to get it to work seamlessly with the infotainment system.

 

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII which pairs fine with the infotainment system. Did you try starting the pairing process from scratch with both devices?

 

Started out with an S3 now have an S5 Active. I just have to select media then my phone from the list and it launches the music player on the phone and starts playing.
