Mine had none on the rear as well so appears that's the way they came. I painted my front ones to match my Harlequin flames and bought a chrome one and installed on the rear (even though you can't see it) ..

I was thinking of doing the same to my front I have black denim with the red pinstripe thought maybe paint the screen same color. Do you have any pic's of yours you could post.

Painted them to match the color shifting PPG flame paint on rest of bike, dash. AC screen, etc.
