Default Freedom Shield

I got my new Freedom Shield. I bought the 12" clear. I am 5'11" and can see over it quite well.

My first impression: THICK!!! It is a lot thicker than stock. I mean, this is a beefy shield. If it had to haul *** it would have to take two trips!

Second impression: great quality. Came all packed up, with protection film all over it. Thick protection film.

Third impression: If I don't like it, I can ride with it and test it, and send it back with no questions asked, as long as I didn't take the protective film off.

Fourth Impression: I also have a windshield bag, so with that AND the Freedom Shield I had to find a longer middle screw for the fairing. The original didn't work. Had an extra top inner-fairing screw that worked quite nicely.

Fifth Impression: Really nice shield.

Once I get 500+ miles on it I'll let you know further.

Usual Disclaimer: I do not work for Freedom Shields, I do not own the company, I don't know anybody that works there, I am not paid by them for any reason and was not paid or in any way reimbursed to make this review. PHEW.

Totally agree! I love my shield. I have the 10". I originally tried an 8" but I've resigned myself to the fact I slouch and will always look through a shield. It's super clear and the well made.

And with it's natural shape and the curve at the top it totally eliminated the glare I was getting at night from the Infotainment system (it would bounce off of the front of the tank console and right into my sight line.)

The owner was great when I called and my return for the larger shield was hassle free. Great product!

I would think at 5'11" and a 12" shield you would be looking through it or at a minimum staring at the top shield line which would drive me nutz. Regardless it's a great shield. I have the 10" and it pushes everything up over my head perfectly; I'm 6'1". I was able to use the middle screw (I have the bag too), but it only went about 5 or 6 threads deep before full tight. I'm very happy with it.

Yep. One of the better companies to deal with and a great shield. There was a problem with the material they use not being in spec after I made my purchase and I received an email informing me there would be a slight delay. Still got it with two weeks. Heck, others take longer than that without problems.

I have a 7" Freedom shield, and agree the quality is excellent. It took me a long time to get it back in June, but they did send me an email explaining they were behind on orders at the time; I'm glad I waited.
