Freedom is .18 to my calipers. Company claims 3/16" but it's a shade under that.

Windshield material thickness

HDs OEM - .119-.123
Windvest - .125
Fast Aire Aero - .135 -.138
Clearview - .160
Freedom Shields - .160
Klockwerks - .122 - .126
Memphis Shades - .160 - .172

Hope this helps someone

ps: The 2014-2015 Aero Windshield re-tooling is finished & production will begin shortly. Many of you have asked about the '14/'15 Aero's & I do apologize that we were out of stock so often. Demand greatly out paced supply & we wore the tooling out.

I'm 6'1" and went with a F4 8" shield in dark tint. Extremely scratch resistant, but would like to try a recurve in an inch shorter version to preserve more of the Street Glide look. Works extremely well and stays stable with zero distortion.

As far an older W/S on the 14.
I knew I wanted a taller W/S on the 14 and the 05 was close to the height I needed so I re-worked it, only to test the height.
The mounting holes and bottom "cut" are different. I modified the old 05 to fit the 14 Ultra. I had to take some extra material off the bottom and drill new mount holes. It fit tight, it worked and eliminated the buffeting. I ordered an LRS Ultra-Elite Polycarbonate, but a 1" taller than suggested one. I'm throughly satisfied.

gonna really toss a monkey wrench in this thread, and post up a road glide "ultra" special with a cool but functional shield...

klockwerks sport flare

I also have the HD 15.5" (clear, and ugly) shield. this sport flare is just as good or maybe even better.

I did the same thing.

Does the Ultra Elite have the flip? I ordered the Ultra (not Elite) because I thought only it had the flip?
