Default HD Centre Stand Fix

I had an HD centre stand installed on my Ultra Limited but found it really awkward to use. First I had to put my boot on the point of the steel rod then push down; very uncomfortable.

My boot passed so close to the exhaust that it was pushed off, not good.

So I took the stand off and welded a piece of angle iron onto it, and finished it off with some stick on non-slip tape.

They should come with a longer extension from the dang factory. PIA to deploy it but is do able. I use mine every time I park Rusty in the garage (well except for my sig pic, center stand was still on my 11 limited then.) Nice work man. Now send that pic to the MOCO to give them a clue, lol.

The modification I made, shown in the photos in the first post, worked OK but it didn't look very professional, so I updated it today.

A month or so ago I replaced my footbrake with a Softbrake. I kept the original brake but I was never going to use it again so I cut off the "foot" part and ordered a new rubber pad for it.

Today I cut off the piece of angle iron in the earlier photos and welded the original foot part on in its place. After everything cooled down I slipped the rubber pad on; it need a couple of minor bits trimmed off.

I'm happy with the end result and I can even deploy the stand while on the bike.

Default Center stand issue

Hi.
anyone can help me?
I loosed the little black screw from the base of the center stand, and the spring escaped, how I attach it again?
Thanks.
