I can't decide what shield to buy for my 2014 sgs, i like the low profile 4" maybe even up to 6" but want to cut buffeting down for less wind noise, but looks to me might mean more then functionality so i would like to see all of your guys rides

My first mod to the bike. I loved this windshield on my buddy's bike and ordered one for mine the day I bought it.

The very first thing I did on my SGS was the windsplitter I tried the 7" and 10" I really love the look but I did not like the distortion when looking thru that shield and yes I know your not suppose to look thru the shield but we all know it happens anyway turns out 8" was the magic number for me to eliminate the buffeting. If your just doing the stock height smoked out then the distortion won't effect you.

This isn't a great photo of the klock werks but it a 8.5". I also added the wind spliters on the lower part of the bat wing. With stock bars theses are great in the cold weather.<br/>

will the lower profile ones still help with buffeting? i personally don't want to go bigger the 8 but am leaning more toward the 4.5 cause of style, also i know its preference but harley or clock werks?

buffeting comes from below in most cases. I use fork mounted wind deflectors from Harley and eliminated all the buffeting ( for me 5'10 w/ full face helmet)) and I kept the stock windshied for looks and convenience.
