I have the same problem, but hasn't really bothered me, i really don't want to take it in and go a few days with out riding during prime time here in Michigan.

Unhappy

I had mine replaced, and the replacements are worse than the originals. Anyone know if it's easy to take the glass off to clean it yourself?

My '94 FXDS has that on the fuel gauge glass. This ain't nothin' new.

I just ignore it, like I'll ignore it if it shows up on the '15 Limited I'm picking up today!

If you have to look THAT close to see it and all of the replacements have it, then I'm not gonna worry about it. If it doesn't cause reliability issues, **** it!

My bike has this also. Only see it on sunny days. Looks like running paint. Not too worried about it. Riding season right now.

So.....how easy or difficult is it to pull the gauge and open it up to replace the glass? And ....where would one find the glass replacement?

Local HD dealer took an old one of mine to bits while I was there - not an easy task, and he pretty much had to destroy the metal holding the glass on. If you get that far, though, the glass doesn't need replaced, it just needs the oily film cleaned off.
