Default Bringing Home New Limited This Weekend

I just bought a 2015 Limited(Amber Whiskey/Vivid Black)traded in my 2010 Limited. Couple of questions: given that I've never bought a brand new bike, how many miles are normally on the odometer when the bike is sold? Also, we just got some snow in the area and the roads were(I'm sure) salted. I'm hoping to pick up the bike this weekend. Any concerns, given that the roads have been salted? Just ride it home and wipe it down? Bring some ACF-50 with me and wipe a coating off at the dealer and ride it home? Man, do I ever hate winter!

My '15 Limited had 16 miles on it when I went out for my first test ride. I'd wash it when you get home. Don't let salt sit on the bike.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll do just that- wash it when I get home and put it into storage. As I sit here looking out at the snow/ slush, markallamerican's backdrop has got me salivating. I lived in Lake Havasu City AZ from 2004-2006 and we never got the crap that I'm looking at now. Great riding there too. This past February, I did RT 66 from Seligman AZ to Needles CA and headed up to Death Valley. I think my keyboard's getting damaged from my drool, so I'd better stop typing.

Congrats, mine had 5 miles on it! I live in south Texas, we don't have salted road issues. Wash it though!

Thanks. Took the pic of the wife and bike at Valley of Fire, North of Las Vegas this past October. We took a day ride while at Bikefest. Its really worth seeing. We live 70 miles east of Seligman and ride over there often.

Let the dealer store it till spring. I would never ride a bike in salt, especially a new one.
