Default Dallas MC Show , 3 good things

My GF and I rode into that foreign country of Dallas, 40 miles East of Decatur Tx yesterday to check out the Progressive MC Show.

I came away impressed with 3 things in particular that relates to my Harley 14 Limited.

1. earthX lithium batteries.
2. Power Commander guys spent 15 minutes going into more detail on the PV2
Auto Tune with me, I now understand it better.
3. EZ UP center stands. Bought one on the spot! $250 OTD. I like having center
stand on my motorcycles!

Thanks for the review, it's here this coming next weekend.

Since I still have a year left on the warranty, the battery isn't on my mind. I saw one of the lithium batteries last year before I bought the 14. When I need a new battery, it's top on my list.

I just don't see me needing any hp/torque improvement add-ons.

I had a center stand many years ago, before marriage, house and kid.
The house is still here, the kid is off on his own and wife, well she's someone elses problem these days.
After all these years of an H-D leaning over as I put it down on the kick stand, it still feels like it's going to fall. And with that final drop into position of the kickstand, I can just see, the one time I figure it will catch, the scoot goes down. A center stand sounds like cheap peace of mind.

I'm curious, much talk around the H-D area about the issues the 6.5 Infotainment system has been having?
I'm hoping to get some more in-depth answers from the Moco folks.
From the reports here, the 1.18.3 update sounds promising, but it will be a few more months before I can find out on my bike.
A rider at a different forum commented that I may have a bad 6.5 and my problems might not just be software related. I'm not sure about that, but it's worth considering.

Thanks

I stopped by yesterday as well. Got some warranty work done on my custom ear plugs. I didn't go last year but there were more bikes there than I remember in past years. Pretty much all brands were represented. Always like seeing the vintage bikes too.

Thanks
I could not find anyone at the H-D area that really knew anything more than the basic sales pitch.

Thanks for the write up.

I'm headed down today, Hope I have enough time to see all the cool new stuff. I too am into checking out that battery. I run Odyssey batteries and like the idea of dry cell batteries. last a long time in our Texas heat. Lol

I wouldn't put a Lithium battery on my bike until they workout the overheating and starting fires issues. Would hate to have one explod under my seat while riding or damaging the gas tank. You can get info including a link to a review by web bike world in them in this thread. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ly-be-lio.html

Default No Detroit

Well they skipped the Detroit show this year...I guess. I planned on going like I do every year but a few days before the normal date...I checked and not on schedule? Just so they all know. When I went to the Detroit show I decided at the show to buy a new Tri-Glide. I found the guy who talked with me at the show and his dealership was about 90 miles away. So I ended up buying the 2014 from him at his dealership. This year no show...wonder what I would have bought! I do need the $10 chrome polish...that guy knew me each year!
Enjoy the show us peoples in Detroit Area don't have one this year!
