Default Oil Pan Plug - Removal

I recently purchased a set of Dakota digital gauges for my 14 SGS. I have completed the gauge install with the exception of the oil sensor. I cant seem to break loose the oil pan plug. If anybody has any trip or tricks, it would greatly appreciated.

That plug, which unlike your drain plug, is loaded with thread locker. That may be because it normally is not removed like the drain plug needs to be.

What ever you do! Lefty loosie, righty tighty..don't get confused looking down and up. It has happened. I am assuming you are referring to the NPT tapered plug used for sumping check or optional gages. That tapered thread if over tightened is like driving a wedge in an oak block. Amazing things can happen and not good ones.
