Default 1000 Mile Service and What kind of Oil to run

Yes I used the search option but came up with 1000 people bitching about the price of the 1000 mile fluid change. Anyways what is everyone running for oils? And can anyone give me the amounts? Ive been thinking of running amsoil?

You didn't find 1000 threads about the best oil? It *might* be the most beaten dead horse on the forum! LOL!!

Synthetic 3, and Bel-Ray gear oil for me.

This is what I run...

3 to 3.5 quarts Mobil1 20w50 Vtwin in the engine, Walmart, under 10 bucks a quart
38oz Red Line Primary fluid in the primary. Buy 2, the second will go across 5 services. I get it at my local dealer
32oz. Amsoil SevereGear 75-110 in the transmission, also from the dealer.
K&N 171c or 171b filter, Auto Zone

If you can't find Red Line, run Harley Formula+, it works well also.

That combo will have you shifting like butter.....

Default yea

I'm not going to reply to this. We don't want any arguments over oil to break out.

Use whichever oil you prefer. I'm using Valvoline 4T full synthetic. Available at Pepboys at about half the price of Amsoil.
