On my 2014 FLHXS with the Boom! 6.5GT. When using the USB thumb drive to play music but if I wish to go to the next song or the previous song with the left joystick. It will not change. The current song just keeps on playing. I have the latest software update (which seems to break things versus fixing them)

Anyone have this problem ?

 

I have had this happen a couple of times and if I remember I shut the bike down pulled the flashdrive out turned the bike back on and let it reboot then plugged the drive back in and then I think I had to go into the setup mode and put it on play random let it start then back to shuffle and I think it cleared itself. I think this system has a mind of it's own.
I have a 16gig fd in my bike with 3000 songs and have been playing it in alphabetical order since Jan. last week it was on the I's and went back to the a's I put it on shuffle because I knew I had more music than that now it plays beyond the I's, go figure.

 

Press Home,Media,Menu and select Seek instead of Preset.

I wonder why Harley hasn't figured out that often the Seek/Preset needs are different for each source, such as radio presets, usb seek, etc. Why can't they make each source have its own setting and not have to always go into the settings and change it? Can't be that difficult to do. Then again, after many updates, they still can't get the AVC to operate properly.

 

Mine was working perfectly then sometime after the last update it changed itself and erased all my presets in XM. I finally found that changing the preset to seek in USB and putting the presets back in fixed it back to the way it was. plus the left stick will scroll channels from where ever it is in xm and the right will change presets...only the right worked before so I think it's a fix.

 

Are your thumbs big enough to work the stick???

When I updated from 1.18.3 to 1.19.0 the System apparently defaulted to "Preset".

I couldn't figure out why the 1.19.0 Update would change my USB so that it wouldn't Advance or Go Back. What had me really baffled was that the songs on my Phone via Bluetooth would work correctly.

Resetting to "Seek" per the above fixed it! Yea!
