Default The demon has disappeared

July of last year I decatted my 2014 FLHXS, installed a AN big sucker, had a PCV installed and dyno tuned. It ran great for a few days, then it would slowly start to backfire, hesitate, and bog down around 2000 rpms, and get worse as time went by. Took it in, the tech redid something and the whole running great to **** would start after a few days.

Took the PCV and A/C off, went to Sturgis, and traded up to a FLHTK.

2 weeks ago I decatted the head pipe and added a 7" x 1 3/4 " pipe inside the chamber for some added backpreassure. Bike ran the same, a little louder and a hotter engine with the leaner condition.

Today I reinstalled the PCV and took a long hill country ride. The bike runs strong and at 86 degrees today I was looking for heat at stop lights and it was barely there.

I haven't touched the a/c and Dynojet sent me different 0S eliminators. The map on the PCV is unchanged so where did those damn demons go.

With the old 02 eliminators. They might not have been giving a good "false" reading.

Good deal, I'm hoping that was the problem. I grew up in Dearborn Hts, right off of Hines dr. Left in the late 70s.

Best thing you could do would be to ditch the PCV and get a true flash tuner that will change the programming on the ecu instead of trying to trick the ecu with O2 eliminators.

The throttle by wire bikes are NOT throttle position based systems. They are Lambda based so the old PCVs units do not do them justice. I had several PC units on older bikes and they performed well on those but NOT the newer TBW bikes. Get a flash type tuner.

My 14 Street glide stock had throttle position map.... In fact you can have your choice between the two on the new touring bikes if you use power vision.
