Default Dunlop American Elite

I won a set of Dunlop motorcycle tires and was wondering what everyone's opinion is on the American Elite tires. I like the stock tires so far on my 2015 Ultra Limited but I can get either ones. I don't care for the American Elite on my softail because I can feel it breaking loose on hard acceleration but how are they on heavy touring bikes?

I had American Elites on my Street Glide and really liked them.
Had just over 12,000 miles on them when I traded for the new Limited.

When it comes time for new tires on the new bike, they will be American Elites again.

I have no complaints at all on the OEM stock Dunlops on my Electro Glide. Bought new in 2010 and got just over 16,000 on original set. With the second set I just turned 34,000 and got at least another 1000 to 1500 more miles in them. I will definitely be staying with the original Dunlops. My riding is two up about 50% of the time.

That is all I ran on my '09 Ultra and I really liked them and will put them on my '14 Limited when the time comes.

Just put a second set of Dunlop American Elites on my 14 Limited. I love them. I was at 20K miles on this past set and still had tread to ride on and no cupping issues like I had with OEM Dunlops. I ride one-up, two-up and fairly aggressive and never had any traction or control issues with them whether wet or dry. Go for it!

Best tire Dunlop has ever come out with. It far surpasses the old D402.

I put on 25,000 miles on my rear before changing. 2 up 50% of the time. No grip problems!

The 402's will provide more grip and the AE's will provide more mileage. What do you prefer?

They only issue I have with OEM is the price. I'll be purchasing Dunlop Second Generation the next time around.
