2014 SG standard Recption issues
I took my stock antenna and cut it down to less than half what it was. Re-rerouted it and had it completely hidden. Not the greatest reception but worked if needed.
Bought the HD hidden antenna. Installed it. ZERO reception. Figured the reviews were correct and it wasnt really worth the money. (this isn't the thread for I have had no issued with mine - I'm stoked for you).
Decided to just hook my cut down stock one again - ZERO reception. Rerouted back to stock location - ZERO reception
Borrowed a full length stock one from the local dealer - I can no pick up 1.5 stations. I live in SF bay area so Im not in the middle of nowhere.
Any ideas? I don't see why the stock set up won't work if it did before. I had the dealer do an update on the radio to see if that helped - nope.

Check the center wire in the coax for continuity end to end using an ohmmeter; you may have a broken wire. Be sure to move/flex the coax in case the break is intermittently open. Also do the same with the braid/shield of the coax. Then check the coax for a short between the center conductor & the braid/shield.
