1343 Miles
Left Chickasha, OK Thursday night at 6 and stopped at Wichita Falls for the night. Left Friday morning and rode to Lubbock, TX and rode in some rain. Stayed the night in Brownfield, TX and the next morning rode to Roswell, NM, Ruidoso Downs, and across 244 to Artesia, NM where we spent the night. Next morning rode back to Roswell, Clovis, NM, and stayed in Canyon, Tx. Got up this morning and left Canyon and rode hard down I40 to try to beat the storms back to Chickasha. We stayed dry until 20 miles from home. Weather was awesome in New Mexico was nice to get away. The bike ran flawlessly and never did get uncomfortable. I averaged 38 MPG to 54 MPG on flat highway running 65 MPH just enjoying the scenery. This was two up and luggage as well. I had to check my calculator twice as I have never ever gotten that kind of mileage on my 2005 Electra or my 2010 Ultra Classic. I have to say I was very hesitant at first trading my 2010 for the 2014 but I am sure glad I did.

Nice ride.
We averaged 40 mpg on our 400 mile round trip last Saturday. Left Memphis on 64 over to the Natchez Trace, then down to Tupelo and back up 78 to Memphis. Did 65 on a lot of the highway, only 50 on the Trace, and 75+ on 78 headed back up from Tupelo to Memphis, Hwy 78 is basically an interstate and I really expected worse fuel mileage on that part but got 40 there as well.
This was 2 up and only 600 miles on the bike so not really broke in yet, I know my Dyna did get it best MPG until I was well over 1000 miles. So, I am happy with that!

My friend and I rode from Orange County, Ca to Kansas City, MO and back in 6 days; 3,500 miles round trip including one 2 day stay in Kansas City. 200 miles in rain and one day we did 800 miles to avoid storms. Can't say I ever got tired either...These Ultra's are super comfortable. The TK ran great and I noticed though at 75-80, the mileage drops down significantly to the low 30's. 70 mph was low to mid 40 mpg. Just got a Shoei Neotech helmet and that makes a huge improvement on long rides; comfortable and quiet and allows to not have the music volume up so high. My friend's CVO Street Glide got much better MPG. Weight and wind resistance makes the difference there.
